Trying, trying, trying.......

Well I put the tree skirt down to work on Cody's stocking, then I put Cody's stocking down to work on 2 Care Bear squares for Cole's Quilts. Do you see a pattern? LOL

The year is winding down and I'm thinking about my list and how much (or little) I've accomplished. I still have a couple of months so hope to finish the stocking and tree skirt but we'll see. I've managed to not make a single ornament. None of my WWS patterns are even started but I knew when I made my list that I wouldn't get it all done in a year. It did keep me focused on my projects more so than other years so maybe I need to readjust the list for next year. Otherwise it will be November again and I will still have no Christmas ornaments even started!

New pictures of Cody's stocking

So far, so good! I was hoping this one would go faster but I'm not fond of the pattern so it is hard to work on it. I can usually find something else I would rather do. I need to get this finished so I can stop worrying about it and move onto something I like better...

Cody's Stocking

I had to put my tree skirt aside so I could start on Cody's stocking. He chose a nutcracker which is definitely not my favorite but it's his stocking so his choice. Here it is so far

And this is what it will look like when it's done.

Latest picture of Woodland Santa tree skirt

I have been working really hard on this one! Would love to finish it before I switch to something else but probably won't work out that way. I have to do at least 1 more stocking for my other son. I really, really need him to pick out which one he wants and soon!

Here's David's finished stocking. I really like the way it turned out.

It's been too long...........

It's been so long since I posted I forgot my password........LOL

I'm still trying to keep up with my stitching. I am currently working on some personalized squares for Cole's Quilts. I've also started and finished about half of my In Memoriam squares for Cole's.

I was planning on being alot further ahead than I am right now but it isn't working out! It really doesn't matter, I stitch for myself and my pleasure, but I have so many things I want to stitch!

Finished Fishing Buddies

I'm finally finished with Fishing Buddies. I still need to add the name but will wait until all the stockings are finished before putting names on them. I also need to take a picture and figure out what I'm going to start next.

The Cole's Quilt Squares, In Memoriam by Sue Hillis, aren't done yet but there are 10 of them so they'll be awhile yet. I have the verse done on 9 of them so it won't take too long to finish.

Goals for 2008

I know that I probably won't be able to finish everything on my goal list but I am going to try my best. I will also be adding other things to it as I continue to clean out my craft room and find even more things that I have started or "must do". Whatever I am actively working on will be in bold.

If I can even complete half of the list this year I will be thrilled. I will list the quilt squares as I start them. I already have alot of them picked out but may change my mind later on. The quilt squares and ornaments will be nice to work on when I get tired of the bigger projects.

If you happen to stumble across my blog and are a stitcher please check out Cole's Quilts http://www.our-sma-angels.com/colesquilts/ It's a great cause and well worth your time and efforts to stitch for the kids.

Now that I have listed the cross stitching goals for 2008 I have no idea when I will have time to crochet.......sigh.

First Day

I finally did it! Took some time to create my own blog. Small task to some but huge to me. Mostly taking the time to just do it. This is mostly for my cross stitching goals but I'm sure all sorts of other things will creep in......LOL

I have to organize my list. I have a 10/25/50 self challenge list that I have resolved to adhere to in 2008. This will be a challenging year in alot of ways. I felt the need to control what little I can of it. I at least have the illusion of control if nothing else. I'm hoping that this blog will help me focus on my stitching goals, maybe making myself more accountable for my goals and accomplishments. We shall see..........
