Finishing

Cut a length of ribbon approx 10" long. String bell onto ribbon and even up the ends of ribbon with the bell hanging evenly at the bottom. String ribbon up thru the skirt and thru the neckhole.

If your pearl bead has a small hole you need to string one piece of ribbon thru the pearl bead and the other piece of ribbon will lay along the backside of the bead/head. Use a small dot of glue to hold the ribbon in place. String on the metal bead cap and use a small dot of glue to hold in place.

Tie a knot in the top of the ribbon to make hanger.

You can use other sizes of yarn, hooks, pearl beads and caps to make different size angels. Just use the appropriate size pearl bead to keep the head proportionate to the body/dress.

4th of July

I'm stitching today...I hope. I did get some crocheting done. I have 2 baby showers coming up in a couple of weeks. One for a friend, one for my SIL.

I made a baby blanket for my friend using a new pattern. I really like how it turned out.

I made a diaper cake for my SIL. Hope she likes it!

I still haven't take a recent picture of the wolves! I will probably be done before I get a picture of it!!!

My LNS has a new blog!

My LNS Ericas Craft and Sewing Center has a new blog! I just discovered this today, I'm a tad slow on keeping up with things like this!

http://blog.ericas.com/

Latest!

I have been trying to not start alot of new things until I finish alot of projects that I already have started. I'm terrible about starting things and then moving on before I complete them.....So many pretty, interesting things to do, so little time!!!!

I picked up a wolf project that has been sitting here for years and am trying hard to finish it. The only things I allow myself to start are things I know have a deadline to be finished. Some poems for Cole's Quilts, a crocheted afghan for a friends child. I still have my Woodland Santa tree skirt going also. I've finished several crochet projects and a few cross stitch ones also!

I will take a picture of the wolf cross stitch later but here's my progress on the tree skirt.

Trying, trying, trying.......

Well I put the tree skirt down to work on Cody's stocking, then I put Cody's stocking down to work on 2 Care Bear squares for Cole's Quilts. Do you see a pattern? LOL

The year is winding down and I'm thinking about my list and how much (or little) I've accomplished. I still have a couple of months so hope to finish the stocking and tree skirt but we'll see. I've managed to not make a single ornament. None of my WWS patterns are even started but I knew when I made my list that I wouldn't get it all done in a year. It did keep me focused on my projects more so than other years so maybe I need to readjust the list for next year. Otherwise it will be November again and I will still have no Christmas ornaments even started!
